If you are lucky to be from one those countries benefiting of a simplified Kyrgyz visa regime (no letter of invitation), but not lucky enough to get a free visa on arrival, here is what you have to do if you are in India and feel like making a jump to Central Asia:
Where to go:
Embassy of Kyrgyz Republic in New Delhi. Address: 78 Poorvi Marg, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi-110057. Phone number: 011-26149582/ 8019. Take the yellow line metro to Hauz Khas station and from there a bus to Vasant Vihar Poorvi Marg (direction airport). Turn left and walk for about 1 km.
What to bring:
Your passport, 1 passport photo, 1 passport copy, 3540 Rs (about 50$).
What to do:
Go to the embassy between 11:00 – 13:00, fill out a form with basic questions and then go to RBL Bank (A/C 409000289398; address: Baba Kharag Singh Marg – 20 minutes walk from the consulate), deposit the money and keep the receipt. Return to the embassy after 4 working days, between 15:00 – 17:00 with the bank receipt. Now you have your 30 days tourist visa!
Note: Check before if there is any national holiday in the time of your visa application as the embassy might close without notice on their website. Or simply make a call to be sure they are open. Good luck!
